My top is a 24x24x60 box bolted to the top, just like I have on my trailer. The actual headache rack was only the 3 door unit originally.

I really like that 4 door unit you posted. That’s all stainless?

Bought mine used with a lumber tarp set for $300. Had a driver with a gambling problem holler out on a CB.

Mine is a 5 door, and like Tug said, keeps everything dry. I used to have an open one, and outside of everything getting wet and nasty, it got full of crap (dirt, leaves, and empty cans). I really like the enclosed.

The best thing is your chains are still there when you wake up on the wrong side of town?

I used a bottle jack to force standard pallet rack wire screen between my frame rails and it works great to shove tarps [i rarely need them but the current market necessitates having them on just in case. 4s and an 8.]

I got tired of my ratchet binders unscrewing and being all tangled with everything else so i made this and like it alot. Theres a padlock thru the hitchpin.

I would really like a big closed box like those but never tried one to know for sure. Once its actually packed full i might hate it.

I haul a lot of brick and really need my screens but theyre a pain to store. I will eventually make racks to hang them underneath and will probably incorporate a 4 drawer van box i got at the scrap yard into that to go under the frame. This type. Be nice for keeping straps and edge protectors all organized.

For now i have my screens stood up and strapped to my pipe racks.. bunch of walking to use them tho.

AF279313-AF91-4166-99C9-DE78A94C1B04.jpeg Smaller chains and snap binders on the left. Straps in the middle. Bigger chains and ratchet binders on the right. Tarps in top box. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Depends on your needs and wants.

How much weight does one loaded add to the truck?

The companies I worked for just had boxes between the spread on the trailers.

Would it be possible to drill holes in the bottom floor and fill with a rubber grommet. Sort of protect the metal from rusting and becoming a bigger hole?

    FerrissWheel and cke Thank this.
