This is not the time of the year to learn dump work. Freezing temperatures and dumps sometimes don't do well together. Either way I would lean toward tank work as it is clean and usually involves 'nicer' people to work with (both the shippers and receivers). If you pm me and I know who you are thinking of going with I might be able to offer more insight. Hope this helps.

Scrap yards can be very hard on tires. Something to think about.

I never saw any money in scrap hauls. They only get you from here to there. Sometimes there will 6 trucks ahead of you to load and 15 on the other end to dump.
