It seems to be all over the map. Iv heard of guys running from $95ph to $65ph, and even worse on per load basis jobs that wouldn't work out at more than $50ph!
I feel we are on the verge of a big change, not sure if it's going to be a boom or another recession though!
The phones are ringing off the hook with flatbed work both local and long haul but we are pretty much trying to keep our resources concentrated on local and expedite.
What about you guys? Has it picked up in the valley yet? -
Oh yeah but not for any money though. I really dont understand why people put their lowsides out to work for less than $100 hr. Trust me, the contractors are bidding for it.I guess its just a supply and demand thing.I guess end dumps are now owned by people who dont want anything out of life. Plus construction in CA has not rebounded
Foxcover Thanks this. -
I started running my first ten wheeler in the bay area in 1998. I used to broker through S & S, Martini Trucking, and Poli Trucking, plus a few others. Don't miss the area at all.

Well the end dump went out on Friday for the second day so far this year!
Got my min rate ($100) but I don't see things picking up enough yet for the end dump to stay out. -
At least you got the $100.
-
10-4 on $100. It shouldn't be this hard though!
-
I hear that. But I think there is still a problem of too many trucks and not enough work. Plus all these older trucks were supposed to go away due to CARB and didnt. My rate is $100 hr and my trailer will sit until i get it
