    I pulled reefers for years and kept the hazmat current. It paid off because I was the only driver with hazmat endorsement. Many times those drivers were sitting waiting for loads, but not me, the dispatcher would snag a hazmat load for me. I remember one time several of us were in Ohio empty. I got a load of paint going to Los Angeles; they were upset about it, but I was prepared; they weren't.
