Congratulations! Make sure you get the feeling your trainer gives a crap, and is actually training you the right way. There are a lot of short cuts you can take when hauling oil, and once you learn the proper way, you can then decide if you want to chance it and take some. Until then, learn the right way, truly understand the right way, and go about your business. Since most companies pay a % now, most haulers take those short cuts to get more loads. Try explaining why you have a full tanker full of a bad load pulled from a lact unit, and have no way to pump it back. Enjoy and make that $$$

Yes, still here. After about 4 weeks of training they turned me loose, and I'm coming up on my 5th. month. Really busy out here between the pipelines welders and different types of rigs. Not a bad gig, Sunoco on the other hand is a typical large corporation.

The only problem with Sunoco.. Is they'll safety you to death. Me and 10 other guys all started together in 2014 in Midland. Everyone moved on within a year. Only 1 driver is still there. Wasn't a bad gig but no one wanted to live Midland. I enjoyed my time in the Permian Basin. Make sure you put those cones out and chock those Wheels.. lol

Yes, safety overload, even while everything else is falling apart. I'm working in Pecos. Funny you say no one wanted to live in Midland, try Pecos, there is nowhere to live. I had to buy a 5th. wheel!
