In a Pete with an Eaton auto (car carrier) while it's in drive turn the PTO on and then put it in neutral. Not sure if yours is the same but that's how mine worked.Dera209, Dna Mach, Goodysnap and 1 other person Thank this.

In an auto Peterbilt they installed a switch next to the passenger seat that you just slide from off to on. And bump the cruise up
-
Mine was on the dash. I guess every application could be different.

Some of our trucks have them on the dash. Our two autos have the switch on the floor. The autos had the pto put on at a later date

yes thanks. I should have been more clear. I was asking about transmission settings in regards to PTO . Move trans from Neutral to Drive, PTO switch On, Trans to Drive.
I appreciate the answers.BigBob410 Thanks this. -
In addition. Park brake should be locked out so that vehicle will not move with PTO engaged. PTO operates in N. Drive just stops the trans from moving to prevent gear clash during engagement.
RockinChair, im6under and tscottme Thank this.
