    I like the X15 but since it’s not on there I’ll take the N14. How about an old 3408? :)

    I've driven all those engines except for the KT Cummins, not sure about 14 L Series 60, don't think I have......, maybe I did......, can't remember.

    I have to say out of the bunch my favourites to drive were the 3406B and the 8V92TA, mainly because they are mechanical engines and the electronic engines just don't have the same feel and responsiveness as those older engines did when they were in fine tune, I found them easier to control and finesse.

    For pure joy the 8V92 wins hands down, as long as I'm not paying for the fuel.

    Electronic throttles always felt like I was stepping on a sponge, and when shifting with the Jakes that slight delay threw my timing off, drove me nuts.
    (Volvo was the worst)

    If I had to make a living with one it would probably be the 12.7 Series 60 for economy and reliability, good engine.

    Cummins sucks!:rolleyes::):)

    Give me that old cat. I know what I can get out of it. There are some pulls that will find any weakness in it.

    And thats the rub, it has not failed a pull yet. Up to 24%

    Deere hunter, D.Tibbitt and Trucker186 Thank this.

    I have yet to drive any of these engines. From my research and preference I go with the 12.7 CAT

    Any truck I have built and beyond? X15 till something I feel is better suited for the type of work we do i.e. Heavy Haul & Aggregate.

    MY daily and MY personal favorite.91 3406B, screw turned of course. She’s got blow by but I aggregate and asphalt, I’m helping to keep the dust down lol

    ANYBODY who says a X15 Will out pull a 600HP 2050tq 3406E is crazy unless the Cat has 3.55s and the Cummins has a 4.11. Also the C15 had a 625 Varient. Thats a couple extra than what the Cummins has !!! The X15 is Good for Emissions Motors but bad compared to any older motors.
