Engine Choice

No votes for the Silver 92 or the Cripple Four yet I see.

 

First I didnt criticize cat in general, nor did I mention my preference.

Same way,you'll enjoy this. You just really had to have driven one of these to appreciate how great they were back then.

 

He's thirteen or fourteen, I forget which. He's home schooled and rides around with his Dad a lot.
He has a real interest in this business but sometimes his youthful enthusiasm carries him out on a limb.
Every once in awhile he gets on here and starts getting salty with the old timers. He always gets his hat handed to him, too.
All he really knows is what he's been told. Most of us realize that isn't all there is.

 

They're all good until they break. I've spent some time around the Cat dealers. They break just like every other engine out there.

 

Love it, my Dad has one in an 85 Pete that he still has from way back then. Incredible engine IMO.

You did fine. I didn't mean to imply otherwise. I didn't know whether or not you were aware of the kid's background.
