My understanding was on highway engines made up a very tiny percentage of their total revenue. Why spend money developing and supporting something that won't give a good return on investment?

We have 4 trucks with 3406B, 1 with 3406E and one with a BXS C15.
I like the smooth pulling power of the two turbos and watching other loaded trucks with 4 ways on, engines revved going slow up hill, while I pass them with a loaded super b and maintaining speed with cruise control.
The BXS is much more relaxing...jamespmack and Oxbow Thank this. -

I drove a 2000 sterling with a 330 hp M11 Cummins for 4 years, 125,000 miles.
Yes, it’s slow, (which upsets every trucker employee in our company but me) but it pulled many loads up to 90,000 plus pounds. Just gotta be patient.
I miss that truck. That sterling did a lot of work.
The cab rotted out but that little engine that could is still waiting to go to work but it’s last trip is on the back of a hook to the wrecker....
I was told by the wrecking crew they wanted the engine and transmission for another truck. So there is a second life for the little engine.Oxbow and Trucker186 Thank this. -
Also I think typing males me come across different. Sarcasm doesn't show up to we'll on here. I've driven a truck some on the road running empty. I've run around 100,000 miles of milk. Again I'm sorry if I came off "glued" wasn't meant that way. When you don't know me and how much I love to joke around I sound like an #######. James I was joking lmao I'm a Detroit guy myself that's what I've learned on a Classic xl with a detroit and a 13 speed. You've never met me. I've spent time round mechanics owner ops and just truck in general. I am getting pissed since you said "time for meds" that's something I didn't take lightly. I guess when people tell me to ask questions and I go out and do then spread that knowledge I'm still wrong. I guess my song is Mamas don't let your baby's grow up to be cowboys. Men that don't know him won't like him. Only difference is Men that do know me understand me. Also the mechanics I have learned from are Teachers at a Diesel Tech school. Please can you guys just lay off. I'm tired and worn down. Also my life is different than most 13 year olds. I'm much more mature when im in a actual conversation I'm just joking around half the time on here. Also I tell my dad most of the stuff that goes on and what I have said and he's scratching his head going well your right in what you said so we laugh and just run on down the road. Also I'm not near as immature as some of these guys one here. I've read a 379 vs W900 thread that got out right childish. Listen I didn't mean to put you guys all in a fit although this has turned out well and is quite funny @jamespmack @REO6205
Man you guys love to get all uhh he just a kid he just knows what he's been told. I guess I'm learning wrong ? Maybe I should not listen to anybody and just learn on my own ? OK TIME TO GO BURN UP SOME FUEL AND MOTORS 2200 RPM HERE I COME. See that was a joke and sarcasm. Not meant to be taken personally or literally. I don't know it all and have a lot to learn BUT I do know my stuff on Cat engines. Ask the people who know me I do. Oh wait you can't well shame cause they would tell you I do my research.
