I think I read that on either that ELD OR ME Facebook page or the Operation Black and Blue Facebook page. I think both of them are planning a big gathering of truckers in DC October 3-8

If you have a Cummins Engine just go here
    Cummins QuickServe Online
Create an Account (It's free) & register your ESN. It will tell you the production Date, warranty start date. Plus a host of other info & give you access to Parts Books ect..

Ya I think I had seen that. My 97 should be fine tho. It's got a 96 motor so should be safe on both fronts.

I talked to logs today. I'll be able to stay on paper until I screw up and get written up on roadside inspection. That was the policy for the exempt trucks still on paper, and she didn't anticipate that changing now that it's based on engine.

I run a mechanical engine. Always have, another words its not a decision based on E-logs.
My question is should I have to buy a truck and E-logs? Or possibly accomadate them some other way?

No one should be mandated I say.

Little Tommy broke the teachers pencil, so the whole class gets detention?

Maybe they should focus on companies and drivers that have log book violations? I won't lie, I pushed the limit 25+ yrs ago. Anymore I take my time and simply try to keep from getting hit, by a truck already on Elogs.
