engine fan switch

the engine harness has the plug for that option, if you need the extra cool down on the engine while you want to stay cool in your truck go ahead, you may or may not like it.

 

Can you help with the location of that plug?

Hi, the way to install a manual fan switch on ON-OFF air fan clutch on Volvo Engine that i know is :
Install a switch (Normally Open style) feed by a fuse (5 amps is enough) and 12 volts from ignition or accessories circuit, send the outpout of the switch to the VECU (under the tech tray where the fuses are located) at the position PA 19 of the big green connector of the VECU you will need a special Volvo terminal P/N 3948725 and that's it.
No parameter need to be program.
Note: It's possible when you will turn OFF the fan clutch with the manual fan switch a 30 seconds delay take place (fan stay ON) because often that parameter is already factory set.
Note: The engine should run to engage the fan, at no engine RPM it doesn't work.
