I have a 1993 Volvo White/GMC with a cat motor and when I started it yesterday, a red warning light on the dash started buzzing. The light says engine fluids. I have verified good oil pressure and level. Also have verified the coolant level in the reservoir. I have tried bypassing the coolant level sending switch but have same results. Any suggestions?

I had a 95 Volvo with a Cat that had this problem. On mine it turned out the nut holding down the coolant sensor terminals on top of the reservoir had come loose and were making intermittent contact. For a long time it only happen when I started it. It gradually got worse and even shut my motor off going down the road a couple times before I figured out what was wrong.

If bypassing the Coolant level sensor does not kill the light check the oil temp sensor, it is in the pan.
