If you have a truck issued to you at one or two million miles you just shove whatever oil you can find into the whipped engine. Poor thing. You got bigger issues.
I use Rotella T without fail. If the engine is gonna break on me it's the electric side that will do it. Not the heavy stuff.
We don't get to keep trucks longer than 200K of service, by then it's a new truck to break it's cherry.

One year later , 200,000 miles more, in 3 days,( June 30th) my truck has 9 years team, and still running 8-9 mpg with light loads; I switched to Rotella T6 0W40 , it's even better for cold starts here in Canada. I don't trust anymore bulk synthetic from truck stops, Speedco and noobs lube technicians in training; i buy from Canadian Tire, Wall Mart, Meijer, about same price.

DudleyBoyNC Thanks this. -
Wow $150 Canadian. Is that a sale price? You could get 2 for that price down here. Youch...
Johny41 Thanks this. -
I used to buy in US, but now doesn't make sense, it's about same price,( 21$ /gal in Wall Mart ) the exchange rate is 1.31 cad=1 usd , (official), but I paid 1.33 yesterday for 1 usd; 150 cad$=112.7 usd for 5gal pail.
But the sale tax in US are not recoverable ( yes some states have lower), here I pay 13% HST on top of the price and I get it back every 3 months. -
Wow is right! I can get a full syn 5w40 from my commercial oil supplier for far less than that. And I get free oil sample kits and analysis thrown in. And all of it brought to the house free of charge.
Ok missed reply post when I was posting. Still think I have a better value.Johny41 Thanks this. -

You can get T6 at Walmart in a gallon jug for $21.xx all day long.....
5W not 0W tho... -
That's why you should check a commercial supplier and buy from them. Now in all fairness, I get mine in drums and refill jugs as needed.

thank you of the reply.
The rocket were all bad, i found on the forums that this is a common problem for cummins ISX
we did an overhaul, same injectors
It started, and running good.
when pulling the trailer it runs tight, even when empty.
It fells like somethings holds the turbo, does not pull like before.
Yesterday In Oh for example, just south of Dayton claiming the big hill @ mm 40-ish, did not go better than 30 mi/h. that with a 80k lbs load.
Is this tight running something normal until breaks in? i have a 475 HP ISX , turned to 525 by dr Diesel.
thanx for the imputs. -
Sweet jesus wtf did you guys do to your dollar?!
