Just replace my twin turbo on my 2006 peterbilt 387. I'm only getting 10 psi on boost when loaded about 38000 lbs. When I try to get it up to 20 psi my truck just don't have enough boost. It feels lik something is holding it back and it suffocating the engine.

Did you do it yourself or have a shop do it?

    Probably left something loose.

I had a shop replace the turbo. He's saying that I mite need to clean my air charger. I tighten every clamp on the turbo.

Did the old turbos blow up throwing steel fins into intake side of pipes leading to air charger and clog them??

I had a crack manifold and one crack turbo. The mechanic did a pressure test on the air charge and said that there's no leak or damage.

    baha Thanks this.

You may have to pull off all the intake side of pipes off up to the charge air cooler and with a flash light look for a rag that got left stuffed in a pipe to keep dirt out while it was apart and blown down to a curve in one pipe or blown up into ft. of air cooler, because your pressure is so dang low??

Air inlet restriction, clean air filter?

Check exhaust restriction. Some of the later emmissions Cats had a converter plus mufflers. Not uncommon for the converter to become plugged.

    Fuel pressure/ delivery

Pressure or smoke test intake and exhaust for leaks.

When I just bobtail I feel it suffocating a little. Truck has power all the way to 20 psi. It's when I start pulling a load.

Took out all the turbo and clamp even clean the intercooler on the truck still not get boost pressure over 20 psi. You think that I mite have an EGR problem.
