Engine suffocating

    There was no EGR on that year of Cat. The twin turbos and intake valve actuators were Caterpillar's way of getting around not having to use EGR.

    Ok....I see now....any suggestions of why I'm only getting 10 psi on my boost. Any suggestions will help...getting frustrated on not know what's wrong

    I don't see any new turbos in that picture. I see a few new intake boots but those are definitely old turbo housings. Did they just replace the internals rather than the entire turbocharger assembly?

    If you built boost and power fine before the mechanic messed with it, 9 out of 10 times the issue is a result of that repair.

    This! Do you still have a muffler in back?

    If so, pull the Inlet from the front of this and look inside. Hell, pull it off anyway.

    You can't build boost with a clogged exhaust. You're only addressing one part of the system, the intake.

    If its not the intake of air and its not the exhausting of air it might be a bad boost sensor. If it doesn't see boost it won't make boost . But then I have been wrong before so .....
