I can't see why a company would complain about the mt miles when there deadheading you there to pick up a load?....there has to be something missing here....

I used to work for Swift out of the Ok.City terminal. It wasn't too bad at all. Sliding scale paY. I made anywhere from 32cpm for long runs to 40cpm for short runs. I got paid mt or loaded miles. Yes, you always run a little more miles than they pay you for, but I still done pretty good. And , if I didn't want to run to a certain place, they wouldn't make me go either. I was 100% on time, never any service failure. The only thing I really didn't like about 'em was their raggedy trailers. I was always having to work on em just to get to the next stop, hopeing I'd get through the next scalehouse without getting a fine. Most miles I had with them was 3600 miles in one week. Most were still around 2500 to 2800. But, the dp I had always had me ready to go with a pretrip before my last drop. When my dp quit, I quit.
