I can't see why a company would complain about the mt miles when there deadheading you there to pick up a load?....there has to be something missing here....

From some of the stuff I've read.....they are going to get your DAC for abandonment.

I used to work for Swift out of the Ok.City terminal. It wasn't too bad at all. Sliding scale paY. I made anywhere from 32cpm for long runs to 40cpm for short runs. I got paid mt or loaded miles. Yes, you always run a little more miles than they pay you for, but I still done pretty good. And , if I didn't want to run to a certain place, they wouldn't make me go either. I was 100% on time, never any service failure. The only thing I really didn't like about 'em was their raggedy trailers. I was always having to work on em just to get to the next stop, hopeing I'd get through the next scalehouse without getting a fine. Most miles I had with them was 3600 miles in one week. Most were still around 2500 to 2800. But, the dp I had always had me ready to go with a pretrip before my last drop. When my dp quit, I quit.

Sorry. This sounds too reasonable. This is the "bad" company forum. You need to embellish your post. Did they force you to listen to Donny Osmond on the radio? Did they penalize you for dirty mudflaps? Force you to sleep at high noon when it's 110 outside and they don't allow idle? You know, stuff like that. :biggrin_25511:

As I understood the OP, is that Swift does not pay DH miles, is that true?

    Company driver or a LPO?

Sorry if this isn't what you want to hear, that's just how it was for me, when I was there. Some of the other dps in the office, and all of em at the terminal in Memphis, I could'nt stand. Swift certainly is not the best, but it sure ain't the worst. Maybe for some people, but not for me. The worst one I ever worked for was USX. They make Werner look like royalty.

Oh yea, and If Swift didn't pay deadhead miles, I certainly wouldn't have worked for em.
