Can you please explain how some one not driving a vehicle had anything to do with crashes? Why would a person talking on a phone need to have anything to do with DOT?

If you gained up to 8 hours a week just by using e-logs, you must be terrible with a paper log book.

Elogs are nice for Van or reefer. In flatbed I was always banging the 14 hour clock on days I had to load and unload. Otherwise I didn't mind it. But it is another of those nickle and dime charges in the bottom line.

If I can get Windows software for the laptop no problem.

I run elogs now and it don't bother me but my personal belief is the government has no right telling me when I can work and how many hours I can work. Also the government doesn't pay my bills and when I ran hard and did a paper log I made the best money I ever made as a Company driver. now as An Owner I just pick and choose my loads and make it worth my while and do run legal. but whether you are on paper or elogs it doesn't matter you should never be caught without an up to date log book. I ran for 7 years doing upwards to 5000k miles a week and only got caught one time without an up to date log and it was my fault I didn't draw a line. you just have to be smart. Just make sure when you run like that you use a loose leaf that does not have numbered pages

I dont mind them, just wondering how long i'll have before I have to pay a $hitload of money for an EOBR. Qualcomms are not cheap.
