Whatever component may be going bad, it would require replacement of the entire Qualcomm box.
A period of poor quality voltage will ruin many boards in short time, causing then to become very erratic.

the only thing that can vary the juice would be the alternator. there is no high and low. it's constant.
every wire in the truck that has to do with being a power supply puts out what the alternator sends. minus some small voltage drop. the only thing that can change that, would be the alternator getting weak. or the batteries going bad.
as for the QC itself. there's probably a corroded connection somewhere in the power supply system. -
hmm
-
so why would a shop mechanic replace a 20 amp slot in a fuse box for the 12 volt power supply with a 25?
-
the 20 amp kept burning up
-
so he can burn the truck down.
instead of finding out why 20 amps keeps blowing. he puts a 25 amp. won't be long before that 25 starts blowing. you might even smell the smoke from burning wires. -
cleaned the battery cable hook ups about a week ago. qc has been better so far..
no jumps needed yet -
LMAO....
-
any one of them wires could be the power supply to the qc, or the ground supply or the relay supply.
