Equipment operators rock....!

I still do sometimes. I love that flavor. Takes me right back to childhood. I wonder what kind of cancer it's giving me?

 

Not at all, I don't think this is very smart, and most construction sites are off limits to ANYONE not related to the job. Equipment operators are the crabbiest people known to man, mostly because it's a boring job. You nailed it, it's liability, and with the driver shortage, this is probably all they could get for trucks,,,don't laugh, they are replacing water lines and curb and gutter on our street, lot's of equipment, and while watching, I'm seeing this guy go from the excavator, to the roller to the dump truck, finally, I asked him, what's the deal? He said, they had an ad all summer, and he's the only guy they can find, and has to jump from one machine to the other, and city street job, gotta pay big bucks, he even offered me a job, but I'm retired, no thanks.

 

Lol yeah you won,t be seeing that anymore.

 

This made my day. Those kids will remember it forever. Only bad thing is the kids were way too close.

 

The kids were fine. Parents coddle them way too much these days.

 

Heck, I even climbed trees as a kid. Rode in the back of pickups. Drove tractor by the age of six. Burned my hand on the stove. Built rafts. Climbed on the roof of the barns so we could “sled” off.

Heard “bet you won’t do that again” a number of times.

 

Love it, brought back memories.

 

I like it that it not only made the little boys day it made the little girl's day.

There's nothing like doing something really cool for small children to make them smile and get them excited.

 

Probably made the operator's day also. I know I would smile every time I thought about it.
