Plz can you tell me where is that solenoid located on Cascadia 2016 DD15? Driver side or passenger side? Just give me a direction at least plz
-
I would assume it’s right there on the driver side firewall with two air lines going into it. Probably those same colors. See the junction block with all those air lines right above it? Those are directly under the steering wheel on your truck’s firewall, so it has to be right beside it.
Asttiac Thanks this. -
Yeah, thx, I’ve found it and checked the plug, but it looks dry...
-
Can that problem (solenoid issue) wait for couple days until I get any Freightliner dealership? Or I have to solve it immediately?
-
It can wait. The only issue is if it runs nonstop it will hurt l fuel mileage a little. I can’t stress enough to just let it dry out and listen for the engine fan operating normally, then it’s probably moisture related. Don’t pay a dealer to fix that, just buy it and do it yourself. Check the voltage to the plug first and see how much it’s getting.

I need voltmeter for that? And what voltage must be? The same as My current battery voltage?
-
Should be close to the battery voltage. Multimeter or voltmeter would work. With the motor running does the fan stay on nonstop? If it doesn’t run constantly the problem is gone.
-
It runs constantly
-
do You have the a/c on?
1. Cut a/c off.
2. Check voltage at plug.
If the voltage is good, and it still runs constantly, probably need a new solenoid.
