Just to add...
My new company actually had a mechanic introduce me to my truck.
On the bunk heating and A/C. There is a main vent for each of those under the bunk. One for heat on one side. One for A/C on the other.
Here’s the hitch many don’t understand. There are also blow by vents. They will get some heat or ac. But they are only blow by. Two of these are at the corners of the bunk. Also one next to the main underneath.
My experience so far... Yes blow by gets some heat. But nothing like the main heat. At below zero out. I closed the blow by vents for more heat. They were too cool. Did have some heat applied. Nothing like outside. But cool. Now I got ten above zero out. The blow by vents are warm enough to open. The main heat vent is so hot. I can’t keep my foot in front of it.
I rationalize these blow by vents are also for outside air for the cab. Keep air circulating in and out. It’s healthy.
