That little screen can be a real son of a ##### to get out and if you really #### it up like I did you're either going on a trip to thermaking for a thorough screwing or taking your bunk heater apart.

i picked and jabbed at it for 30 minutes and it wouldn't even come out in pieces, I stuck a drill bit in there and got it all twisted around on itself until it seized up on the bit, popped right out :jerk:

This is a post that can save you a couple hundred bucks or a couple hours labor right here.

i bought a screen and glow pin at amazon. it was advertised as genuine. installed them. when ambient temp is above 40-45 f it will start ok. when cold is outside it will start after 5th attempt. got mad and drove to freightliner. bought another glow pin and replaced it. problem gone. it starts at 1th attempt when outside is 20f . lesson learned. amazon is not a source of good parts

Anyone ever experienced a noisy fan wheel? Mine used to be silent, after cleaning the entire unit and doing maintenance it is still noisy. I guess I'll just have to replace the blower motor since it can't be lubed in any way.

Yes mine was doing that in the fall when I first tried to fire it for the season. Ended up being a little bit of corrosion behind the fan wheel that swelled just enough to make contact with the fan. Took some 80 grit sandpaper and knocked it down. It’s been quiet ever since.

Run kerosene through it. Never worry about maintenance again.
