    I did and I did.

Called Freightliner here in the states and they quoted me $2500 for the one esparD5wsc they had in stock down in Dallas.

Called Charlotte NC Freightliner and they quoted me $11000 USD and they would have to order it.

EBay has them all day long in Germany for $1050 USD, but they will not ship to US, because tariffs.

I found a brand new espar D5WSC with the 12v Freightliner (Mercedes) plug at a RV dealer in North Wisconsin, and he sold it for $1505 shipped. Took a lot of searching.

I'm not giving up my old housing tho. Parts are expensive.

Tariffs work both ways, and I'm on the end where I'm getting the raw end of the deal.

If the positive and negative leads are switched on an electrical motor it will run in reverse. This would cause the problem OP has.

    Siinman and 86scotty Thank this.

Okay, guys, "switched leads" is probably the culprit. 20260110_092109.jpg
After starting within 2-3 minutes, the metal fins near the silver insulation became very hot.
The individual who installed it is coming by tomorrow. I shall let you know how things progress.
There are too many wires and connections for me to even try to manage.
That would be a surefire way to go from annoying to complete disaster.
Also, those who caused the problem shall be the ones to fix it.

Sucks all around... I'm in Canada... I oppose them too... Sad ordeal that has no end in sight.... But those prices you were quoted at are outrageous. 11k? Was that for the whole Bergstrom unit? lol

Okay, the individual who did the installation just passed away.
I'm going to have to find someone else to solve the problem.

    Siinman Thanks this.

Just watch some YouTube videos and do it yourself, it's really easy to reroute vents

These are pretty basic. Youtube is your friend. The hardest part is working in a weird area bending down if working from inside the bunk area. Is the fan coming on when starting up or is it just trying to start and not doing anything?

I work with a dude that has one of these installed on his international pro-star. He says it works great. Just like the Espar airtronic. Searching online quickly, shows that they are somewhat reliable with a few quirks to watch out for. But like others said.... easy to get it installed. DPF Discounter - Shop High Quality DPF, DOC, SCR, One Box and More

ryan from idle and emissions solutions installs these and the polar fox E-Apu's. He hsa a shop in ohio.. Maybe worth a visit.
