Can anyone give some tips on surviving the extra board (HOS, loads etc)? Preferably their Wednesday start. Also any ballpark salary info would be great. Don't mean to be rude just curious.

Well I survived my first week out on my own. Not too bad. No complaints (other than I had to wait over 3 hours for a load to start my day today) I've got a decent truck and so far I'm impressed with the hotels I've stayed at. A lot nicer than what I was expecting. especially the hotel in West Middlesex, PA.
Went to the Chicago terminal twice this week. I'd be fine never going there again, but I'm sure I'll be seeing a lot more of that place.speedyk, Bob Dobalina, TahoeTrucker and 1 other person Thank this. -

What kind of truck did you get? -
I just got an International Prostar twin screw. Nothing fancy, but I like it. I'm just glad i didn't get one of the Transtars. -
i've always been interested in applying at estes. is that 22/hour plus the mileage pay? or just when you're doing non-driving work?
