Well, I'm still crossing my fingers something happens up there with those guys. I applied once up there for a P and D job, but didn't take it at the time. Don't know if that will have any bearing on the linehaul choice. See what happens.

The background check takes a long time here at Estes I waited almost three weeks back in 2010, but watched a temp turn employee and that process took almost 6 months, just keep checking each week and talk to the T/M not the clerk.

I'm beginning to wonder if I should bug the TM's at the terminals that gave me those canned, rejection emails. I passed muster at a few other places before the pay/days-off thing turned me off. So I wouldn't really know what's holding me up until I dig.

But for the meantime, still working and not in a gutter some place, so the desperation is non existent.

I filled out 2 applications for Estes one in North Carolina where I reside, and another one in Fort Worth,Texas. Not even 10 minutes later I got a call from the Recruiter in Fort Worth. Things went well filled out more information for him, and 30 minutes after that a Recruiter from the Headquarters in Richmond,Va called me in reference to my application for Greensboro, NC. Both phone calls went really well, and filled out paperwork for both. They told me that we will via email. Do you guys think this is good news?

Also if anyone has any information for the Terminal in Fort worth it would greatly appreciated. Where dod the runs go to , and are the miles consistent? Same for the Greensboro Terminal.

Another question should I call the TM at both Terminals to inquire about my Application status. From Estes has shown me now as far as quickness is really impressive.

How long does this process usually take. I know the Background check could take a few days depending on your background.Hopefully being Honorably Discharge from the Military will help out as well.

    Any information will help
    thx in advance.

I've been trying to bug the TM's at the Aurora CO location, but still no dice.

Probably about a year or two now. I've been called by the people at the main office in Virginia for line-haul/regional OTR positions in Phoenix, Denver, and Albuquerque, but that was about as far as it got.
If you come across my other threads, I'm just getting my act together to realize that the milk hauling thing has turned into a ---t show for me and I just want to try something a little more different and predictable.
When the trucks only go 65 and you've got a 3.5 hour turnaround for each dairy load, the money doesn't really add up any more.

I understand that. I need a change from truckload. I hear really good things about this company. Really good reviews besides your normal disgruntled employees.

I'm still keeping tabs on them due to the variable days off they're said to have. Some get weekends off, others have the middle of the week off., etc
