Welp... Waiting on HR to rubber stamp what is left of my paperwork. TM was supposed to call me at some point so they can get me a start date. I got my resignation letter all ready though.

    There's about a 1-in-52 chance it's our barn...

@Rusty Trombone - what terminal are you going to be working out of? There are a few of us on here from Columbus.

Ha! Yep, I kinda figured that might be the case.

Congrats again, and good luck with your Class A training. Don’t be surprised if it takes a while before you start. It'll all be according to the needs of your "service center." They could start with you shuttling trailers in the yard right away after you get back from your routes, or you could work through the entire busy season before you even get started.

The straight truck gig is the hardest job you can do here, but the pay raise and the opportunity to get your Class A will totally be worth the work. Just be patient. They never permanently park someone in the straight truck. Everybody moves up eventually, but you may have drivers ahead of you in seniority who will be training before you. Until then, you'll be hustling around town knocking out stops.

The most important thing for you to know about P&D is that on Fridays you should tell all of your customers to "have a good weekend!" Good luck, and keep us posted.
