Don't let Catmando bother you, he's cool, just pixxed he can't drive that 4300 Eagle around. Companies are under such scrutiny, there isn't a shipper in this country that is happy with the HOS rules, freight is literally backing up, because some driver ran out of hours 20 minutes away and can't pick up the load. Multiply that times the number of drivers waiting for the clock to catch up, it's a mess. Besides, I blame Nancy Reagan for all this,,,

 

And your way is why fatality rates were so high in the 80's, 90's and 00's and the direct reason we have to deal with ELD's today.

Except the data shows post elog mandate higher fatality and accident numbers from trucking, so yes, that way MAY have forced elogs on us, BUT the cure seems not to be working

 

Iam not got take sides because Iam pretty biased on this subject.. but how my fatalities are a result of drivers doing extremely desperate & stupid things because the clock is running and the nanny safety department while be up their butt if they aren't parked when the clock stops ..you know like just parking on the side of a 6 lane interstate because their out of time or they drive like their in the Dayton 500 it make it to a stop and only got 12.3 minutes to get there.. you can't be paper logs for everything
