Thanks bknight. I've actually been rethinking some things on my direction. I'm thinking I'm gonna stick with standard driving, build the experience there first

Hey nothing wrong with going that route but in about a month will be the time to be out here. The snow/mud will be gone and it will be good weather. Plenty of time to get used to the lay out and such out here before the roads get muddy, snowy and the temp drops.

Gunner first of all thanks for your service. Not sure in what direction of Lima you live but I live in Cincinnati. If you are near there or Hamilton check out Napier Truck Driving Training. Great school. Another option in your area is Millis Transfer, have hear good about them. They were my backup plan.

Hey Crappie, I live just south of Lima, Hamilton is about a 2 hour drive for me so Apollo Career Center really is my only option. I have considered Millis and even interviewed with them over the phone. The company I have set my sights on for the time being is NTB out of Troy. Their freight is 95% drop and hook which means paid miles both directions. They do hire straight out of my schools grads, but thats why ive chosen to have Millis as a back up just in case i dont like the deal with NTB. Ive sent in a request to speak to a recruiter from Millis and havent gotten a response back.

One of my instructors at school still does NTB on the weekends. He likes them well enough and Ai would trust this man more than any other one I learned from. So must be good. If I wand going to do regional I'd be NTB myself. Good luck.

Gunner, unless Millis has recently changed their policy you either go to their cdl school or you have to have 1 year OTR experience. When I looked at them, that was what I was told.
