I was in the process of running that scale in 1983 when a 4 wheeler moved into my lane and I had to slow. I was chased to the Louisiana rest area and asked to come back. Took me to the local jail house. $110 fine and don’t do it again.

I always avoid that one in Oklahoma on 35 crossing into Ok from Tx. Take thackerville exit. Get back on right at that dollar tree.

Blew pass the small one on 75 in ok going south right before that big hill near turner falls, pulled over and waited, no chase.

My QUALCOMM told me to pass about two weeks ago a scale station in Indiana. I got chased down and pulled over. I had to show him on the history that it gave me a bypass. The officer that pulled me over was polite and professional but let me tell you he wanted to give me a ticket bad. Lol

Seems like he could’ve gave you one anyway.

I got nailed in Halton outside of Toronto. Never seen the sign until the last minute and couldn’t get over to the right in rush hour traffic and missed it. $450 I think.

I’ve purposely blown by open scales when they are backed up out on the interstate.

They can chase me down and give me a ticket if they want, I could care less.

I’m sure you were, but what bearing does that have on a LEO?

Especially if we’re talking about a dirty cop and it sounds like it, what’s to stop him?

Oh they are out there, I talked to a trucker the other day that they literally moved the “no trucks”sign on a particular road to where you couldn’t see it until you were on the road and then the cop was writing tickets all day long. $500 a pop.
But in this case, I’m pretty sure there’s a record kept of the bypass order. I mean he could’ve wrote me a ticket but I would’ve contested it and had proof that I was given a bypass. I think he either just made a mistake or pulled over the wrong truck.

That Iuka Ms scale ain’t no joke. They chase every time. Your better off to just take your lumps lol. That said if you go in they are more than fair. Coming outta Alabama even with a Ms Harvest permit which gives me 84 gross I’m always heavy. If White is on duty I get my paperwork looked at and told lighten up next time lol. Sad when you know each other by name and ask how’s the family lol
