Hell today I locked my self out of my car and all my bills for the day were in my car on the dashboard.

Oh well the show must go on I thought. What I did was I called customer service and asked them if they could email my stops there bills. The woman said of course no problem and the problem was solved.

Truth be told I think that in the next decade or so if the push was really made they could probably find a way to get rid of the paper bills/invoices what ever you want to call them.

So true, you get in a hurry and inadvertently skip a step or make a mistake next thing you know you're locked out of you're car and all you're bills are sitting on the dash board.

Thanks guys! Funny stories here lol. Ironically the guard gave my bills to another driver and I ended up having his bills. Thankfully we were both headed to the same location.

Don't feel bad. I've done it and have seen other drivers do the same thing at the company that I'm currently working at. Hell, some of guys have made it all the way to PA before they realize it. What really makes it bad is that they have light colored trailer numbers on the chrome corners and they can be difficult to read correctly without direct light.

I loaded lumber in a container a month or so ago. They loaded the wrong load. My load was export to china. The one they loaded on me was for vietnam. Now my container cannot be switched with other container as they are different companies, and scheduled for different ships. So, i was 80 some miles away from shipper when this problem was discovered. Now i should have checked pu number, which i did not. My bad. Might add i have loaded at this shipper 80 times (apprx) in the last 12 years, never a issue. Argued with my fearless leader that it was not a 100% my fault. Any way, they ended up paying me $125 to go back. To error is human. May add "export" to china and vietnam, even with the tariffs. Its all good.

One time i picked up a load in Jersey going to Groveland, FL. The shipper loaded me with the wrong load and gave me the wrong paperwork. I was in a hurry and not paying attention, so failed to read the bol to make sure it was right. I made it to Dillion, SC and my dispatcher called me and asked where my load was going. Figuring he was being a smart alec i said “you know darn well & good it’s going to FL”. He asked if i was sure. Told me to read my bol to him. Oh boy. My loads going to Mi. F me!!!! He says i have to go back to Jersey and do it for free, plus not get paid for what i already drove. Man O man was i pissed. I was ready to deliver the load to the shipper and deadhead home. Call USX and tell them to come get their truck off my land before i have it towed.

Well as i’m getting off the exit to turn around he calls me back and tells me “you’re good. Take it on to FL”. I was dumbfounded, i mean what in the actual heck is going on? Turns out he was teaching me a lesson i needed to learn! Both loads were identical and the mess up was corrected via fax machine.

Almost quit my job by abandoning my truck on the day my job should of fired my butt. It could have been the worst day of my working life, turned into one heck of a learning experiance and a pretty good day all n all.

Was headed to Cleveland, Oh. one time, then noticed destination was Cleveland, Tn. ! And another time, my co. was SMX and they has sold a trailer and whoever bought it did not repaint it or re-number it and the shipper loaded it with my load and we thought it was a normal SMX trailer. I got 100 mi before the mistake was caught and had to go back to shipper.

Could be worse. I know a guy who crossed border into US with wrong load. Trailer # was incorrectly entered on his BOL
Why i always opened doors to make sure it was the correct freight on preloaded trailers
    Amazingly dispatch is not perfect:D
