I work only 6 months a year. Even after 6 months off and crawl back in the cab it's like I was driving yesterday. Somebody has to support Uncle Sam.

I run enough to pay tags permits and such for a year. Shipper pays load ins. I just take it easy, get payed and come home. If you want it fast, hire a helicopter. :biggrin_2559:

I said I was done in February and havent driven since. I've had enough I think. But to supplement the rocking chair money and to not be bored/worthless I'm starting next week on a part time gig..20-25 hours a week daytime clock job. No overnights and two days a week is plenty for me at this time. After 40 years it's sorta a little sad that such a big chapter of my life has ended...some years of it were great and some were not. But yes, I'm through with it, at least in the way I have known and lived it all my life. It was time for me to move on....so I did.

When the Wife died, It was something in my drive way. I knew the HI ways by heart. I never let her sit more than a month. One day I needed to go out. I understood, She was still with me. Just can't see her anymore.
