Good for them, but not so good for me?

I dunno. They seem to be missing the fact that I could be running and earning already. But, when they started their student program, they didn't allow for "overachievers". So, just waiting on their time to pass. Then, I'll get rolling.

I'm just glad the trainer and I get along so well.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

Did he really say they haven't seen someone with his skill level before?

Meaning he needed a bit more training, I think.

Yeah, I hope that's what he meant. A tongue-in-cheek moment.

I know at least 6 drivers who were with Evergreen for YEARS. One of them hired on with them 23 years ago. Of course, he, as well as my dad and the other 4 drivers, left about 10 years ago. Not too long after Mr. Poole sold out to the investment group. As I understand it, Ronnie K (a disptcher at the time) acquired it from that investment group and is now the HMFIC.

No, I meant that I am far ahead of students that have already soloed out. Yes,, there is more training I can get, so I'm not complaining. Realistically, I should have been hired as experienced imstead of a student. But, no worries. My previous training in fire service pump operations has helped me greatly and unexpectedly. My trainer was trying to get me in a truck right before Thanksgiving.
