No disrespect to your time, but Swift is giving me a chance...I am a newbie and don't have the time nor the place to press you...but, Swift is giving me the opportunity to prove myself...I will be the rookie for a bit and I will appreciate anything Swift drivers or outside of Swift have to offer me as advice...Thank you all. BTW...I am retired and am not a newbie to LIFE...

 

Swift isn’t as bad as everybody says. Most of the people that put it down around here have never worked there or if they did it was many years ago. If you’re willing to work hard you should do fine.

Thank you. I will give it my best shot. I'm not afraid of hard work or long hours. I know that it will be a year or two before I'll be making better money, but of course it will most likely take that long for me to learn to be a better driver as well. I have much to learn and experience...thanks again for the positive notes Lonesome/3523.

 

If your happy thats what counts. But I hope I can find better things to occupy my time with in my retirement than driving a truck 500 miles a day.

 

From what I heard Swift is the worst beginners only company out there.

 

If I get 500 miles a day, that would be awesome!!! I’m still a young pup (52), and it’s way too early to completely retire. My intentions are to only drive for 10 years when I plan on retiring altogether at 62. After that I’ll probably start riding again and by then I would have learned a few more two lane highways

 

Guess I gotta start somewhere. I’ll do my best to do my part to make it a little better...that’s what the honeymoon is for with any new marriage
