Everyones views on foreign drivers

This industry, aside from the folks here, is rife with the most racist, homophobic and every other hate you can think of. I don't have my CB on any more because of the comments. Not the majority of our profession, but certainly the most outspoken of the minority.

That said, it is a solitary position. Unless you have said troubles with your dispatcher I don't see any reason why you would not have the same opportunities to succeed as anyone else.

I just got a free Cobra 29 LX to replace my burnt out Cobra 29 LTD classic. I missed having a radio.

 

Not sure about Aussies, however if somebody could recruit the Swedish bikinis team to drive truck in the U.S. I'm all for it.

 

Check out Canadian trucking companies also. There were a couple that recruited from the UK and put them through the CDL license etc.

Yes, I know Canada isn't the USA, but you will be driving "American" trucks and probably see more of the USA than most Americans.

I have no problem with foreigners driving as long as you can speak and read english to a point. It doesnt have to be fluent but at least know all the signs and what the words say. Thinking about it do you guys need punching bags for the dingos. I know of a bunch of guys that need a job

 

All we ask is for you to leave your bloody Wombats at home.. We don't need any more evasive species in Florida

 

You would have to learn to drive on the correct side of the road and shift with your right hand. Oh, and our wildlife is much bigger than a roo.
