Class b cdl = any straight truck over 26000 lbs (13 tons)
Class a cdl = any vehicle with a trailer with a combined weight over 26000 lbs (13 tons) or a trailer weight over 10000 lbs (5 tons) regardless of combined weight. Air brakes are a separate endorsment, it does not come automatically with the class b or the class a. Please don't spread bad information
