I think what is being said here is that you need to get off your back side and do your own looking. Asking for those links? Well, it's OK, I guess, but it sort of shows that you don't have enough initiative to even Google those companies. Help yourself, or at least try to.
Big Don is right on the money..... Everyone on this board is willing to help you a little, but the rest is up to YOU !!!! Learn to use Google, do your own research, don't rely on others !!!! Good Luck !!!!!!!
I have a felony from 28 years ago when I was young and stupid. I also have a misdemeanor from 2 years ago that was dismissed. The two so far that will except me are Pam and Cre England> really I do not want to go with either one of them. I have to go to the training again even know I drove for three years over the road back in the early 90's CRE England runs your background before you even get there. I tried to get a job around here after my business went under due to the economy. I was in business for over 15 years. Taco bell would not even hire me with a felony from 28 years ago. I have to support my four kids some how. So now I have two choices on who I work for,and both of them are bad. I will do my year and hope I can go with a better company down the road.
I have over 40 apps in to different companies and still no luck, but every day I am looking up more companies. I know one of them will give me a chance. It's just a matter of patience - or so I'm told. LOL
I think you miss understand me. I can give you a list of all companies I have contacted and applied to, but still have gotten a no answer. Dixie Dumptrucking Inc. Dice Transport Inc Industrial Warehouse Services (IWS) Pace Runners, Inc. WTI Transport Paschall Truck Lines, Inc. Coleman American Companies JB Hunt Transport Dana Companies Tankstar USA Wayne Transportation Werer Enterprises Evans Trucking Waller Trucking Co. W N Morehouse Truck Line Inc. Transco Lines Inc. Beacon Transport Big G Express Coleman American Companies Empire Express Vernon Milling Co. Melton Truck Lines, Inc. Super Service Covenant Transport Hirschbach Boyd Bros. Transportation BTC Builders Transportation Company CRST Van Expedited Link America Express YRC Glen Moore C.R. England Carolina Cargo Mac Elroy Trucking Prime SRT Sharkey Trans TransAM and the list goes on. Not only that but I have apps. posted on sites such as: hammerlanejobs.com classadriver.com bubbajunk.com careersingear.com truckflix.com layover.com findatruckingjob.com Its not that I am not willing to put in the foot work, or do the digging. I have exhausted all avenues that I know of. So I turn to people who I hope have suggestions that I my have not tried yet. You, much like everyone I have dealt with, have prejudged me But, thats ok. I forgive you just as Christ forgives. Just try not to make a habit of it, ok.
You, much like many others, have prejudged me and missed the mark. I have over 50+ apps in (I can provide a list) and am a member of 9 .com driver hiring sites. Everyday I start my job search at 8am and don't quit until 3-4pm. I treat my job search like a job. I have no problems doing the research, my problem is that I have come to a point where I don't know where else to look. So, I come to forums like this and I post questions in hopes that someone my come up with something that I may not have already tried. Is that not what forums are for? I just want to work, do a job I love, and get paid for it. I just need help getting there.
Enigma have you been making calls to all the companies that you have not heard from? If not call their recruiting department and ask them to check the status of your application. They get hundreds of apps and maybe yours has fallen through the cracks or at least maybe you will have a chance to explain your charges and that might help too.
Yes, I have. The response I get is, "I am sorry, but we cannot accept your application at this time." or "We have decided to go with other drivers at this time." And if I ask why, or if there is a specific reason they wont say. Feels like I'm shoot'n in the dark, I hope to hit something, but I'm also low on ammo.
I've looked at your list and that in and of itself is impressive. Never , ever give up but.... Maybe try looking at small ( 10-15 trucks) companies right there close to you. Ya know , ones that you can actually walk through the front door and have a talk to. A start is a start and if you sell yourself ( which is what the face to face is about) you just may find that real good job. The internet is a good tool, but it isn't the end all to end all. It's EASY for companies that haven't even met you or talked to you in person to not let you have the chance. Keep at it just the way you've been doing and it will happen for you.
Oh hell, I probably do make a habit of it. At least much more than I should. Sorry about that, but the fact is that post that I responded to, without any further info from you, got the answer that I would give again, for a like post. It looked like you wanted everyone to hand you your future on a silver platter. So let's just chalk it up to a misunderstanding. OK?
