From my observations, jim palmer used to be one of the better companies. I no longer run in the same circle so maybe that's changed. However i can't imagine they've changed that much in the last ten years, so i would think their quality of training is miles above typical mega carrier standards.

who says Palmer has typical trainers? They might actually screen there ppl before they become trainer unlike most the starter companies and they may require a person with more then a few months to become trainer.

Well Jim Palmer is owned and operated by Wil-trans..
Wil-Trans training program is modeled after Prime's training program
So it will be 40,000 dispatched team miles , if you are lucky you will get a trainer that doesn't team drive at least for the first 3 or 4 weeks

But once you and your trainer are comfortable running as a team the miles will fly by.

When did palmer sell the company?

He has not owned the company in years. His boy Scott ran it into the ground. An investment company from the Chicago area bought it several years back. He came back a figure head so to speak. They could not turn it around, so they in turn sold out to Prime I think about 2 years ago.
