Don't think for a minute that a local job won't irritate you too. The grass ain't always greener on the other side of the fence, as they say. You really need to learn to roll with the punches in this business. It's certainly not for everyone, as evidenced by the HUGE TURNOVER! Good luck

I suspect this will be a problem for most of the careers and lifetimes of everybody posting on these boards. It is a chronic problem in food warehouses! Way back years ago way before elogs and ELDs drivers "fudged" their logs and dealt with this. Not as easy to do in today's world.
What I would love to see is the FMCSA update 390.6 and make it a crime with damages awarded to a driver if ANY shipper/receiver holds up a driver more than a couple of hours, with MANDATED time recordings made AT point the driver enters the property! Not when they bump a dock!alds Thanks this. -
Just remember it takes several good loads of fertilizer to make the grass greener.Dockbumper Thanks this.

People care about u but its not their first thought in their mind. People just dont understand what we do or how it gets done. I have had the pleasure of working with great people in this industry and we are all thankful for eachother, because we all solve eachothers problems. . Truck drivers are important to society but so are dispatchers, warehouse workers, brokers, the entire logistics industry is a thankless and unappreciated industry, it comes with the territory.homeskillet, alds and Just passing by Thank this.
