When I'm getting loaded or unloaded I simply pace back and forth the length of the truck. I park in the far away parking spots so that I have to walk a far distance to the truck stop building. It's quite a chore to get 10K steps a day as a trucker.

I walk around some when I’m parked. Gotta feed my Apple Watch

I get plenty of movement with an RGN. But still need some cardio here and there

When I was learning to get my CDL. Part of the course was about how to get in shape when on the road. The most common way to do it was to park the furthest from the shower. The walk is the exercise.

Walking a mile or 2 every day will do more for you than working out at a gym once or twice a week.

You don't need fancy machines to get in shape or a gym. Pick up a yoga mat and a set of dumbbells you can handle and give this workout a go. I did it for a couple months. First workout I actually had a hard time walking afterwards.

Key factor to getting in shape: you can't out-train a poor diet.

What most drivers at a truck stop will think. “Hey look at that idiot doing those exercises at a truck stop..…..I wish I could get myself to do that. Oh well let’s see what the choke and puke has to offer today.”

Good luck to you. And congratulations on having the guts to do what you need to do. Most don’t.

The funny thing is, we sabotage ourselves. How many of us actually actively judge an overweight person whose out running or trying to get in shape? 99% of us really don't give them a second thought.

I started running when I was 230 lbs (I'm short too). The first time out running I was self-conscience about it, worried about judgement etc. After a couple times out I started to realize that nobody gives a crap about me, I'm not someone special. I'll never see any of these people again in my life so whatever.
