My theory on working out is go heavy or go home.also you can buy dumbbells on craigslist or flea markets for pennies on the dollar.if you have no weights you can do air squats see how many you can do in 60 seconds then try to improve on it,push ups wide and narrow or one arms, planks, walking lunges, you can do pull ups using a load bar in the trailer, step ups even if its on your step, you could also buy some kettlebells and use them then after that put your running shoes on and go for a jog theres no excuse for not working out if you want it bad enough.
Yes but why? Most don't use showers as it is, and you really expect them to work out and then do the shower thing? Great now we have a new thread going to start up...(seen a driver working out at rest area.......300 miles down the road sitting at restraunt and now he is 2 stools down from me and my food just came.)
Meh. If i find myself in that situation the first to go is my 250lb teammate far heavier and less useful than dumbbells.
The government supplies the time that 30 minute waste of daylight in your first 8 that's 30 minutes you have to exercise. you can use the cross members of the trailer to do some arm workouts while you are under there checking the adjustment on your brakes. Do a couple laps of the truck while checking lights. the ladder to my upper bunk in my 780 is kinda like a stepper. then again so do the steps to the deck behind the cab. Not having exercise equipment is just an excuse, just like not having the time.
There was a good article on this very subject in a recent (within the last 3 months or so) fitness magazine... I just cannot figure out which one it was so I can share a link. Let me do some research, time permitting, and get back to you all. If someone else has time, please don't hesitate to attempt this as well.
I found the article in the April (2014) issue of Men's Health Magazine: http://www.menshealth.com/fitness/on-the-road-fitness
