    A couple of examples online.

I've helped countless number of flatbedders help roll up their tarps and/or secure loads. I've received help from countless number of flatbedders too, even when I was a Swifty flatbedder.

On each occasion, I never recall saying anything about my experience or inquiring others'. Seems to me the only person making the big deal about the lack of your experience is yourself.

I, and many other flatbedders on this forum, sure wouldn't mind help you if you ask question(s) politely.

Society has degraded, but most people still treat you the same way you treat them (as long as money is not involved, I should add).

    Technically...this isn't flat bed...but I've pulled a flat bed or 3 in the past.

That said...they bigger they are, the better they pay...just something to think about down the road.

A little update, since i did start this thread.
I am still currently employed by uncle sam. That may be coming to an end here shortly b/c of a medical issue. Theres more to it than that, but thats irrevelant.
Anywho, if the military gig goes sour, flatbedding is where im heading!
Right now i am currently stationed up here in Minot, North Dakota....however, i am from Alabama, and i will haul my cookies back to Alabama if said job goes sour!

Thus, i will start my career in (hopefully) Flatbedding!
I have some what of a plan already as far as what school to go to, to obtain my CDL.
I have some what of an idea of who i would like to go to work for. I have been doing my reaseach ( this forum has been a wealth of info...some good, bad....and just flat out hilarious!)
But my ultimate goal is to do heavy hauling!
I just wanted to see what other flatbedders think/thought/ have hauled....whether they like it yada yada yada. I love hard work, love the outdoors ( kinda have to, in order to survive NORTH DAKOTA in the winter time!) the military has taught me patience, to have pride in your work, lead by example. I think flatbedding for me will be an awarding new career for me. Honestly, i cant wait to get out on the road and start pulling a flatbed!

    Drive safe, happy motoring!

Ridgerunner665: Thats exactly what i want to get into!
