Seriously now, don't you think you would be better off to ask this question of your company? Because you are going to find all different kinds of experiences on here. What you need to know is what will YOU be making at the company YOU are with.

Keep in mind that a lot of drivers will BS about how much they make. Can be kind of hard to separate out the wheat from the chaff on this.

The outfit I worked for, line haul drivers varied depending on their run, and how much other work they did, such as break and hook. They normally made more money than we did, as P & D drivers.

However, the company had the P & D drivers doing the hook ups for two runs. Actually good reason for this. They would start work hours after the shop wienies went home. So if we did the hooks, we also did a pre-trip and any problems, were taken care of for them before the shop closed. They could come to work, get their paperwork and do their own pre-trip (right, uh-huh,) and roll, without having to figure out how to handle mechanical problems. And of course, it depended on the miles their runs were.

Hmmm, I may be an idiot. But I did read, comprehend and answer your post question to the best of my ability. If you don't like what I said, then I guess it is your problem.

Oh also, if you look below my posts, you will see that
is posted in all or most of my posts. It isn't aimed at you.

It's OK son, I know you are new here on the forum, or at least haven't been posting much. But perhaps before you fly off the handle, you might just stop and think for a minute, so you don't come across as a total dummy.

I had no intention or desire of upsetting you.

I work for YRC and while the line haul drivers make more money I wouldn't say 1600 a week is easily attainable. It just depends on if you have a good bid run or if you are on the extra board. If you're on the extra board it can be hit and miss when things get slow. I'd say 1400 a week is more like it till you get up higher on the board but that depends how busy your yard is too. I'm out of a big yard and we are really busy most of the time.

Its not a general rule, every last yrc driver and all yrc owned companies have the pay cut nationwide
