I have over 27 years experience, but have really only had 1 job i truly liked. That company closed its doors over 15 years ago and ive been searching for something similar ever since.I ran from NC to TX or OK, unloaded and returned to NC.Is there anything out there similar with nothing above VA or east of OH?

That's going to be a tall order but not because there aren't those runs out there, my guess is that there are. What the problem for you will be is that dedicated runs, especially the really good ones like you're describing, are highly sought after and the first people to get them are current employees.

Someone walking in off the street, even with 27 years experience, rarely get put on dedicated run. It does happen I'm sure, but rarely.

Your best best would be to start making phone calls. I'm sorry I don't have any names for ya.

    Good luck.

Those days are long gone my friend.....

1.25 a mile and .68 a gallon fuel allowed good companies to run straight out and back. But that's history.

Not true . I run dedicated trailers from KY to Ontario , TX , VA , PA . I either unload and come back empty or drop a loaded trailer and hook to an empty .
I once ran from KY to British Columbia and came back empty .
