Ok,
So I deliver pizzas and want to do what normal do. Nothing wrong with that. BTW, that ignore button is cool. I tell my mentor (my dad) that every single day. I figure when it comes to renew my CDL next birthday, I may try another shot if I can find an o/o who is understanding of my disability. I tried the big companies and it did not work. I am will apply the advice given to me to my daily life. I figure, I know a lot more than the average newbie going at again. I love trucking and the commadrie that I share with other drivers.Driver of the year, Hitman, Giggles the Original and 3 others Thank this. -
I'll tell you what KH. I'm pretty well versed in the aspects of autism and aspergers. I have a 15 years old son who has aspergers. I can help you through the process. No sweat off my back. ID be glad to help you.

I've got two kids who need help. I think I'm the problem!!! Ha ha ha!
scottied67, Lilbit and Giggles the Original Thank this. -
KH. Don't let the nay Sayers get you down. Confidence comes with experience and experience comes in part by asking for help. I make my living by litteraly driving the roads and paths less traveled. Never be too proud or ashamed to ask for assistance. GPS does me no good and Google maps shows tree canopy. So those of us that do what I do ask for help. Like the others said "good contact number" is key. Most importantly. If you were to get lost it's not the end of the world. It happens to the best of us. It is truly not the end of the world .
The loneliness gets better with time. You may even get to enjoy it. I know I do.
Feelings of being overwellmed happens to everybody. Anyone here who claims it hasn't happened to them is bsing you or is kidding themselves. Getting yourself out of a jam, be it self inflicted or someone else's fault is exciting and very satisfying.
I'm rambling. In conclusion. You need to put yourself out "there " or you will never know what you are capable of! The results may surprise you and everyone close to you.Giggles the Original, Hitman, joseph1135 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Joe,
Well, my dad says my emotions get the best and hes 100% right. Note on the 15yr son, when teaching him how to drive, explain everything. With my old man, or Poppy as I call him, it was cool but since we were driving a lexus, it was like you ding her you pay. There was no thing such as pop a dent.
I got another question:
Is it unreasonable to stretch your legs every 3 or 4 hrs???scottied67 Thanks this. -
No offense, but my dad would probably have a heart attack if I produced a kid.
scottied67 Thanks this. -
The Challenger and scottied67 Thank this.
