The real problem is if you get off schedule on a Monday and have scheduled deliveries, you will never catch up. As people have noted, plan way ahead.

Been trucking 30 years.
Last two years on Elogs.
I've gotten used to them and now appreciate the rest I get and I feel a lot better and I'm more than certain my health is benifitting from it.
The one downside..
The last two trip especially, and it has happened before..
I've ran out of hours 20min from home, and 45min from home respectively at mid afternoon.
Not sleepy at all...
We should be able to take a 2hr break and borrow from the next cycle in that situation.kurbski and Oldironfan Thank this. -

My drop off is 30 min from my terminal. I’ve had two occasions where I didn’t get to go home that night because I was like 30 min short on time. That’s annoying lol
Oldironfan Thanks this. -
I seem to notice no traffic from around dinner to breakfast time. But don't try finding a parking spot before sun up.
Virtually you need to drive from midnight to noon now if night driving or you screwed.
I must be different than most drivers because elog really get under my skin. -
SteveScott and Oldironfan Thank this.

I have been on Elog for 1 year. The biggest change for me is to get to truckstop/rest area before 3:30pm to get a parking spot. Before Elog, i run 13k + miles monthly. With Elog, i averaged less than 9k miles per month over a 12 months period.
Oldironfan Thanks this. -
It's because everybody is racing for a spot to park. Even if you have drive time on your clock.
Thanks elogs.
