Just looked it up. I might actually start getting that, since I buy my collagen online.
Once you subscribe to the idea that butter is not the enemy we’ve made it out to be (too many people call margarine/oleo butter though), then you can enjoy your butter.
Butter good. Bacon good.
Doughnuts still bad. :Sadface

In my truck whatever you could -keep- in your bunk was allowed. That did not mean at the end of the day you were going to pile it up on the floor or seats. I allowed one seat. We attempted to go to Wal Mart once a week, of you ran out, then get it it Love's or do without. If your whined you were taken back to the yard where your training started from day 1 with a new trainer who probably will not allow coolers and the like.
Get through training and then do what you want. Count your blessings if they accommodate anything.MartinFromBC and Bizzarrogeorge Thank this. -
When I trained I had a fridge with freezer on the truck. Being mindfully of most new guys wallet situation I bought the first round of groceries.they got whatever worked for them. After they had a Che c k or two under their belt they bought a round. Never had any problems.

I was eating Paleo before training with my first company, but gave up eating healthy for training because of the difficulty. Unfortunately, I didn't get back to Paleo until I got too sick to safely operate a CMV. I was off the road for a year because of health problems after only driving 4 months. When I was finally ready to get back in the truck, I took a big cooler with healthy food, and signed on for a home-weekly route so I could restock every weekend.
For you struggling with weight or T2 diabetes, another approach you might look at is the low-amylose diet. It's not as restrictive as Paleo (although there is some overlap), and was created specifically for controlling blood sugar and losing fat. You can read in detail about it in "Lose The Weight You Hate" by Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker.LilRedRidingHood Thanks this. -
I know that you and him are not the rule, but rather the exception, but it's still cool to know that there are some trainers out there like you guys who do that favor for us newbs!LilRedRidingHood Thanks this. -
F4T6UY’s Big Fat Thread of Accountability
I started a thread called F4T6UY’s fat loss something or other. Feel free to visit it and post pics to give me or anybody else fresh ideas, or get some yourself.LilRedRidingHood, Bizzarrogeorge and scott180 Thank this. -
Totally having a blast with my trainer/ mentor, and even though I'm not refrigerating my food, I've figured out what I can do to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including exercise, while he has me squeezing every available minute of the day to for miles. Cool seasoned trucker who likes to run hard.
Once I get my truck and have access to the small fridge, I'll be even more in line with my prior eating habits. Thanks to all who helped out in this thread!LilRedRidingHood and jaffles Thank this. -
LilRedRidingHood and Bizzarrogeorge Thank this.
