Just think Rabbi if you were in Naples Fl and the other radio was in Ft Lauderdale Fl, 109 miles away across flat alligator alley, that would probably be a piece of cake, would make for a neat experiment.

Flat land and salt water..The competition for signal rec aint gonna be easy cause all the big base radios all point ant north..Might block out #### near anything else..

It's been years since I got to see flatlands. I had a lot of fun running coast to coast. I was using amplifiers at the time and did some pretty neat stuff. I never tried barefoot on flat ground before. I hesitate to make predictions about unfamiliar terrain. It would be fun to try it though.

I still stand by my comment that Rabbi wasn’t using a CB radio. Here is proof if you need it.

    Anytone AT-6666 All-Mode 10 Meter Mobile

Just because a radio can be modified to work on the CB band, doesn’t make it a CB radio. This isn’t a put down to the Anytone radio. Since I’ve never use one, I’m sure it’s a good radio. I’m just saying that when someone uses the word barefoot on a CB forum, in my mind I keep thinking it’s a 3 to 4 Watt cb radio. Apparently some others do too. hope this wasn’t too techy for you.....LOL.

Is a Cobra 29 that has been tweaked/ modded to have a 6 watt carrier and a 30 watt pep still a fcc approved cb radio?
