You have a better chance of winning the lottery than finding very many "legal" radios these days..

Ya whatever..... I guess it was still too techy for you, since I was just stating facts that went over your head. I guess you can blame the FCC for the 4 watt limit on a real cb radio.

It is misleading to say the AT-6666 is running "barefoot" in a CB forum. Makes the reader think it's running the legal limit of 4 watts.

Thanks Timin, that was what I was basically trying to say. Guess I didn’t do a very good job.

    Per QRZ.
Barefoot Refers to running your transmitter without an amplifier (in other words, the "power out" is being produced entirely by the transmitter, without any assistance from an amplifier).

It mentions nothing about 4 Watts.

Not so fast. This is CB forum. Legal CB output in the United States is 4 watts. Trying to portray illegal wattage as "barefoot" is disingenuous. The casual observer or guys new to CB will almost certainly assume you mean 4 watts unless they Google the AT-6666

Not to be disingenuous, but I'm not sure how legal CB output has any relevance to the terminology of barefoot as defined by qrz. As it's defined it's exactly how I've used the terminology and 4 Watts never came into the equation. the only thing that ever came into the equation is whether or not there was an external amplifier connected to the transmitter.
