My name is Jeff Agee. I have hazmat and twic card, therefore a clean background. No failed drug tests. Don't do drugs at all.

This post is about Expo Transportation out of Sacramento, CA. USDOT number 2353070.

You won't find any Google listing with reviews because the owner, Andrian Balan, is afraid of ex drivers posting reviews, so he has Google hide the listing.

Andrian Balan is a non citizen from Maldova. He calls himself Alex to sound more American, like many Eastern Europeans in trucking. He gaslights and manipulates non-stop.

I have worked for him off and on since 2019. I don't know why, except that i have been naive, until now. I was the first to drive a lowboy trailer at Expo when he started adding lowboys to his flatbed fleet. One or two of the lowboy pictures on the website were one's I took. On Expo Transportation website it says, "Premium equipment" and "Delivering driver dreams".

The equipment is older freightliners, some fixed up wrecked auction purchases. And the only dreams he is delivering is his own.

As I write this, It now it is Saturday, and no Friday pay, hence, this report.

I believe Alex is a narcisist who must maintain control at all times. I truly believe this.

Just a few weeks ago he exclaimed to me, after i complained to him that his safety guy (who is stationed in Maldova with a Sacramento phone number) told me that "you can get a ticket going one mile over the speed limit"...and when I told Alex he replied, "I am not trying to hurt you Jeff. I love you jeff." He repeated this to me more than once.

Alex micromanages everyone to the point of absurdity. He tells everyone what to do and say, then later pretends those people are acting on there own self determinism.

A couple months ago when i first started back up with Expo Transportation, after not working there for two years, Alex said, "You're a Gemini, you have two faces."

I said you are calling me "two-faced"? He said, ""No. It is a good thing. That way people can't pin you down", or something to that affect.

Once, in 2023, when i quit Expo and went to apply for work for another flatbed company, I saw another recently ex-Expo driver also applying for a job there. He said it was Alex's erratic behavior, and he also mentioned that he did not like that whenever he talked to Alex on the phone it sounded like he was interupting him and his wife having sex." This is somply what the man told me.

Expo drivers seem to constantly have minor accidents. Just this week, as I delivered a load at a new building construction at the University of Utah, the foreman told me that one of the previous Expo drivers blew out a tire while turning his tire into something while backing out. This kind stuff happens all the time.

    Other random facts:

Alex told me he paid an attorney $10,000 to expedite his family and friends over the border and into the US with green cards.

He has a guy working for him that was often on drugs. Alex apparently likes him likely because he can control him easily. He even said, "I would never fire John". I, myself never do drugs. Alex knows this. I noticed for a period of time, i got picked two times in a row over a short period of time to do the "random drug test".

I believe that not paying me on time this week is because he felt like he was losing control, and wanted to "put me in my place". That is never going to happen.

The next step is filing a report with FMCSA and the Department of Transportation.

I fed the above report to Grok AI who said there were several legal paths that could be taken, including harrassment and bribery and many others.

I am so sick of manipulators with inferiority complexes.

When you quit the first time, there must have been a reason. Why go back?

Getting picked twice in a row for a random drug test isn’t out of the ordinary. The owner has no say in who gets tested that decision comes from the consortium that he’s under.

Paying $10 k for an immigration lawyer is nothing. Some people just can’t help but brag about how much they spend, lol.

Don’t really see anything else in your post other than the owner probably really does love you, hahaha.

Yes. But is it appropriate to not pay me, all the while going above and beyond all the time? He would pay if I begged him. If i said "please, i need the money to help my family" he would pay me. I have heard him begging brokers more than once. Sometimes it works. Sometimes they get pissed and hang up. And then, I have heard a broker trying to be friendly to him, but not saying exactly what he wanted to hear, and he just hangs up mid conversation.

If the guy loves me so much and is not trying to hurt me, like he said, then why didn't he pay me after doing a great job last with compliments from his fleet manager?

Love would be paying someone their pay check. Actually, that is less than love. That is just being a decent human being.

    bryan21384 and Concorde Thank this.

It was obviously a mistake. There were obviously some good monents in 2019 and 2020 when Expo was growing. But, I was just trying to find a decent employer to work for now. And it wasn't even that bad until suddenly no pay. I was even complemented by text by his fleet manager two days before I wrote this post.

    Anyway. A mistake.

Sounds like you keep wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt somehow. That someday they might become the company that YOU would like them to be. I guaranty his family that he paid 10K to infest was paid their cut last week.

Sorry, but the first time I have to "beg" for a paycheck is the last time. It get's better when you're not there any more.

bryan21384, FozzyNOK, TB John and 2 others Thank this.
