Not much input for you yet, as I am new to the big bunk experience.

Took me 10yrs, but finally bought a new Freighty 120" ARI. Only on 4th load so far.

I actually run spot market reefer, so yes.... this is going to be interesting.

Only have a quick moment to chime in here right now, as unloading & crap load to do today.

So far, thinking I should have done this years ago.

I sold my properties 10yrs ago, put my stuff in storage & live/work 24/7/365 out here.

It was time. If I have to change my specialty/market, so be it. We shall see...

Well I think your thoughts are spot on. Years ago I had an issue with making truck payments, house payments and not being home. I bit the bullet and bought another truck and trailer I could pay cash for and prayed a lot. It worked out for me. But I am VERY VERY disciplined when it comes to money. This mindset came about after a safety director who wanted to pay footsies with me, held my paychecks and fired me hence I was homeless and broke for weeks until I got another job.I paid the house off 13 years early because of that mindset which is the mindset you have towards your training. I've traded up and have the equipment I wanted without the payments. I still exercise the monetary discipline and probably will until I die. You could perhaps get a tiny house so the payment would not be ridiculous and pay for the truck as well. It doesn't take 12 acres and a 2000 sq feet of house to be happy. Eventually I will build a travel trailer from a 53 foot trailer and sell this property except for 1 acre to park on.

Not hostile. It was perceived by me (probably in error) by your statement that I hadn't planned for every eventual curve ball that could come my way. It's a factual statement that all the planing in the world does you no good if you a have testosterone driven man in a power position blessed with with tiny man syndrome controlling your funds in a work environment that was and in most cases STILL not female user friendly. Now before anyone states that I am a man hater or gay, unfortunately I've been married several times which does not speak volumes for my suitability as a spouse. Oh well don't care. Sexual harassment was, and as I stated still is some what abundant in this industry that I love. I just handle it my own way. I don't worry about offending any one's feelings but nor do I go out of my way to hurt or offend.
